Description:
This package contains four full-adder stages with fast look-ahead, which carries from stage to stage. The parallel carryout bit allows high-speed operation in arithmetic sections using several 4008 inputs.

The bits to be added are applied to inputs A, B, and C and the carry-in [Cl] of the previous section. The sum bits appear in the output with a carryout bit [see truth table).
