The frequency of the LED blinks depends on the amount of light that strikes the LDR. With more light the LED will flash faster. The capacitor can have values between 100nF and 10uF, depending on the amount of light that is intended to be used in the control. For greater sensitivity, the LDR must be mounted in a tube. The power must be supplied with a 5 V to 12 V source. The 4001 integrated circuit can also be used in this application.
