Found in a Radio Craft from April 1943 this circuit uses perpendicular coils and is powered by batteries. See that we have 2 tubes on the transmitter and 6 tubes on the receiver. The circuit had to have excellent sensitivity with the arrangement shown in the photo and which we explain how it works in a facebook post and in several articles on our website.
