The circuit shown in figure determines a window in the intensity of the input signals that can pass, changing the state of the output. This is the so-called “window comparator” configuration. In this case, two 8-bit DACs are used to determine the signal window to be processed, but in digital form. The operational amplifiers used have high input impedance, which guarantees the accuracy of the circuit. Note that the DACs used are of the latched type to maintain the programming of the signals separately in order to determine different gains for the two control operational amplifiers that are of the OP-420 type.
