This circuit was obtained in the publication 101 Electronics Projects of 1979. The circuit can be assembled easily, since all the components are common. The circuit tests and identifies the terminal for general purpose diodes and rectifiers. R1 is 470-ohm at 1 k and the circuit can be powered with voltages from 6 to 9 V from batteries.
