The critical components of this project from a 1978 publication are the transformers, which can be obtained from radios and transistor amplifiers of the time. Transistors can be more modern types like BC558. The effect can be adjusted by choosing the appropriate capacitor and resistor in series at the base of the first transistor. The supply can be made with 6 or 9 V.
