With a load of 35 ohms this amplifier provides a power of a few tens of milliwatts, but we can use an 8-ohm speaker by exchanging the output transistors for a pair BD135 and BD136, thus increasing the output power. The source must have excellent filtering and for the original version at least 200 mA. For more power, at least 500 mA. The circuit is from a 1979 British magazine.
