This circuit, from a publication from the 1970s, can be implemented with more modern transistors and 6 or 12 V power supply, depending on the lamp. For a 2N2955 or TIP42 at the output, we can use lamps up to 3 or 4 A. The 2SA363 can be replaced by BD136 and the others by BC558. We can have a version with NPN transistors, reversing the polarity of the supply. The electrolytic capacitor determines the frequency of the lamp blinks.
