The transistor in this circuit can be the BC548 or any general-purpose equivalent, and the phone must be high impedance magnetic. A piezoelectric capsule or a crystal headset can be used by connecting a 4k7 resistor in parallel. The supply can be done with voltages from 1.5 V to 9 V. The consumption is very low.
