Found in a 1995 Hands On-Electronics, this circuit generates a sinusoidal signal whose frequency depends on C1 and C2. See in the math section for electronics how to calculate these components as well as R1 and R2 for other frequency ranges. The power can be between 6 and 12 V. The transistors can be 2N2222 or BC548. The circuit gives another option to stabilize the generated signal.
