This circuit with Triac causes an ordinary incandescent lamp to flash rapidly at a frequency set in the pot. The maximum speed is limited by the inertia of the lamp filament. Lamps of other types (fluorescent or electronic) should not be used. The circuit is from a 1993 Italian magazine and the maximum power depends on the triac being around 500W.
