We found this circuit in an old documentation from 1988. The circuit captures the heartbeat through electrodes. The circuit output must be taken to a frequency meter, oscilloscope or even amplifier. D1 is a germanium diode and the power supply need not be symmetrical. Do not use a power source, but a battery, given the sensitivity to snoring and also for safety reasons.
