This circuit was obtained in a 1995 Electronics Now. It switches off a relay after an interval that depends on C1. C1 can have values between 100uF and 1000uF for intervals up to close to 10 minutes. The transistor can be the BC548 and the power can also be 6 V if a relay is used for this voltage.
