This metronome was found in a 1979 publication, but it can be assembled more easily with the BC548 or BC549. CA3130 itself can be replaced by CA3140. The power can come from battery or source and the high impedance speaker can be replaced by a low speaker with the addition of a small output transformer of the type found in small transistor radios.
