This circuit, from a 1976 documentation, uses a low power MOSFET that is difficult to obtain, but equivalent components can be used. The circuit triggers a highly sensitive reed relay (1 mA) when touching the sensor board. The circuit is powered by a voltage of 12 V, preferably battery. The circuit can be adapted to work with 9 V with a common FET like the BF245.
