We obtained this oscillator in a publication for radio amateurs in 1978. The circuit operates on the third overtone and the capacitors must be ceramic. The transistor can be 2N2222 or BF494. This oscillator provides a low intensity signal that can serve to excite transmitter’s higher power stages.
