This circuit controls a fan in the car, according to the temperature, activating it automatically when the temperature rises. The circuit is from the 1982 SGS Linear Integrated Circuits manual. The Darlington transistor can be replaced by a TIP series equivalent with at least 10 A of collector current, mounted on a heatsink.
