This circuit shown in the figure produces a pulse of constant duration at its output, of the order of 1 second when the LDR receives a short pulse of light. Potentiometer P1 must have the same resistance as the LDR in operating conditions without lighting. The power supply does not have to be symmetrical. The capacitors can be changed to obtain different activation times. The circuit must not receive pulses of light of duration longer than the time of the output pulse. The amplitude of the output pulse is in the same order as the voltage of the power supply.
