This is the basic configuration of a monostable TTL with the 74121. The trip is done with an NC switch and the drive is an LED. Capacitor C1 and resistor R1 determine the LED activation time. The supply must be made with 5 V since it is a TTL circuit. The circuit is from an American publication from the 70s.
