This is the traditional source using the LM317 3-terminal regulator circuit. The same source can be implemented with the LM350K for a current of 3 A. The circuit is from an old manual, but totally current. The integrated circuit must be mounted on a heat sink and the diodes are for 1.5 V in the original version and 3 A with the LM350k.
