This control for motors with current up to 1.5 A was obtained in a 1989 publication, but it can still be assembled by exchanging Q1 for a BC548. The circuit can work with 6 to 12 V motors, just adjust the maximum voltage desired in RV1 and RV2. The circuit can also be changed to control motors up to 3 A with the LM350 replacing the LM317, from the original circuit.
