The oscillator presented uses two inverter buffers as a base and the frequency, which depends on the resistors and the capacitor, has its value given according to the formula next to the diagram. If CMOS inverters are used, the resistors can typically have values in the range of 10k to 100k ohms and the maximum operating frequency will be around 2MHz. Power must be supplied with voltages in the range of 3 to 15 volts.
