This small amplifier uses a loudspeaker as a microphone and can be used in a simple intercom. The output is low impedance for a small speaker and the transformers are the type of output for old transistor radios. The original circuit of a 1970 publication uses germanium transistors, but more modern transistors like the BC558 and a 6 to 9 V power supply can be tried.
