This SCR half-wave speed control was found in an Electronics Hobbyst from 1977. The magazine no longer exists, but the circuit can be assembled with a TIC106. Small changes in resistors R2, R3 and R4 may be necessary to obtain a better range of controls. The power supply can also be 220 V using SCR suffix D. The SCR must be equipped with a heat radiator.
