With this relaxation oscillator with a neon lamp we can generate small intensity audio signals for research work on audio circuits. Note that the circuit is not isolated from the power grid and uses only passive components. The frequency depends on the 10nF capacitor and is set at the 1 M ohms trimpot. As the circuit is not isolated, it should only be used in circuits that are not connected to the power grid and still observing the safety rules that the case requires.
