The crystal in this circuit is 32.758 kHz used in TV. The circuit was obtained in an English publication from 1977, being able to generate a 440 Hz tone for tuning musical instruments. The output must be connected to the input of an amplifier. The signal produced is rectangular and the power supply can be between 9 and 12 V.
