This circuit is used to test capacitors with a working voltage above 150 V, detecting shorts or leaks. The indication is made through a neon lamp. Transformers with higher voltages can be used, but it should be noted that the capacitors under test must have an equal higher insulation voltage. The diode can be 1N4007.
