The circuit is quite simple, but its choice is due to the suggested application, which shows that relatively complex problems can be solved even with simple electronic circuits. It is an 'electronic beacon' and its range of applications can be extended with some additional features applied to the circuit. For example, filters can be added to the receiver or several emitter circuits, thus enabling the identification of the emitter and thereby the location. Another possibility is the use of precise optical systems to determine the direction from which the signal comes. The circuit consists of an electronic beacon using a sensor and optical emitter. We found this circuit in a 2008 documentation.
