This configuration, which appears in other articles on this website, was found in a European publication from the 1980s. The circuit uses the integrated 555 to indicate capacitance in a common multimeter using the current scale, or in an analog instrument. The circuit measures from 50 pF to 10 uF. Power can be provided by batteries, cells or source.
