The circuit shown in the figure triples the alternating voltage providing a continuous output voltage with approximately 3 times the peak value of the voltage applied at the input. The diodes must have an inverse peak voltage of at least twice the peak voltage of the network and the capacitors as well. The capacitor values, in the range of 100 nF to 50 uF, depend on the desired current at the output.
