A load of up to 3 amps can be controlled by this circuit from a low current switch (reed-switch or other) that does not support more than a few milliamps. The SCR must be equipped with a heat radiator and its suffix will depend on the power network. For the 110 V network use the TlC106-B, and the 1N5404 as diodes. For the 220 V network use the TIC106D, and the 1N5407 as diodes. For currents up to 1 A, the 1N4004 / 4007 diodes fit perfectly.
