The block shown in the figure is a basic source with a configuration widely used in technical courses where students learn to calculate its various elements. This block, already calculated, can supply output voltages according to the zener used, under a current of up to 2 A. The transistor must be mounted on a heat radiator and the bridge diodes must be specified for voltages of 50 V or more, and 2 A currents.
