This full wave control with SCRs uses a different solution to avoid using a diode bridge: a pulse transformer with a 3 to 1 turn ratio. SCRs depend on the motor current, and the TIC106 can be used for up to 4 amps, and the neon lamp is common. For 220 V the capacitor must be increased in value. The diodes admit equivalents. SCRs must be equipped with heat radiators. Equivalent to diodes, in this circuit can be 1N4004. A fuse in series with the circuit is good protection. If there is no triggering of the SCRs in the negative semi-cycles, check that the T1 winding is reversed.
