This circuit allows to drive a triac with high power AC load from a CMOS output or directly from a microcontroller. The activation is done with the output at low level. R1 will have 220 ohms for 3.3 V outputs and 330 ohms for 5 V outputs. Any optodiac can be used, depending on the grid voltage.
