This circuit was found in European documentation from the 1980s. It uses the network frequency to test electrolytics from 10 uF to 1 000 uF and a common multimeter on a low current scale or an analog instrument can be used in the indication. The resistor R8 is obtained experimentally according to the characteristics of the indicator.
