This three-digit counter (up to 999) was found in documentation from the 1990s. It uses TTL technology and common cathode displays and must therefore be powered with 5 V. The sensor is a common LDR, which limits its speed. The emitting source can be formed by a lamp or in a more modern version, by LEDs.
