This symmetrical source was obtained from Popular Electronics from February 1979. Transistor Q1 can be a TIP31 and Q2 a TIP32. These transistors must be mounted on heat radiators. The transformer has a secondary of 1 A. The 30-ohm resistors in series with the transistors are 5 W. The commercial value of 22 ohms or even 27 ohms can be used. The zener diodes are 400 mW.
